From the strategic global partnership with the most advanced utilities, since 2017 The E-Mobility division, takes an active part for the realisation of the electric vehicle recharging stations specified in the National Infrastructural Plan for the recharge of vehicles powered by Electric energy (PNire).
The national and international scenario creates the conditions for enhancing dissemination of electric vehicles, with exponential growth rates in terms of amount of vehicles (between 90,000 and 350,000 in 2020 defined on the basis of an estimate by the Polytechnic of Milan in 2017 *) and technological developments. Car manufacturers have taken a strategic decisions, declaring total or partial conversion into the electrical system of their range of vehicles model within a few years.
These are therefore the main predictive factors:
- Increase of the electric vehicle recharging stations by the major national Italian operator (up to 14,000 of public recharging stations by 2020)
- Increase of battery electric car models (full electric or BEV) or hybrid with the possibility of charging the batteries (hybrid plug-in or PHEV)
Demand for vehicles with even more autonomy and with faster charging time is highlighted by numerical trends, in addition to the technological ones. The development of new car models appears focused on fast charging to DC recharging stations, in order to limit the dimensions and weights of the on-board charger.
FIMER, has developed a line of recharging systems, both in AC and in DC, with modular characteristics and charging power up to 350kW, to meet the needs of next generation vehicles.
