JOB SUMMARY AND SCOPE
The Testing Engineer works in the Quality dept. and it mainly works in a production or laboratory environment, developing or improving boards testing and final inverter tests.
The role also includes supervision of test equipment installed at subcontractors' companies.

This role requires strong attention to product quality, safety and competitiveness, especially in the photovoltaic sector where inverters must be highly reliable and safe for long-term use.

ACTIVITIES
•    Design and develop test routines and test benches for the electronic boards of photovoltaic inverters, including power boards, control boards, and power supplies.
•    Develop and optimize end-of-line tests for finished inverter modules, ensuring that every device leaving the production line meets quality and performance standards.
•    Definition of technical specifications for test systems, focusing on electrical, electronic, and, partially, mechanical design.
•    Drafting technical spec related to testing and validation processes.
•    Analysis and resolution of issues related to test benches.
•    Collaborate with hardware design teams to develop the necessary tests to validate the functionality of electronic boards and inverters.
•    Support in the industrialization phase of products to optimize testing processes.
•    Use testing tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, DC sources and automated test benches to verify the correct functioning of boards and circuits.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
MUST HAVE
•    Electrical and/or electronic background is mandatory.
•    Strong knowledge of Python programming language.
•    Knowledge of PLC programming.
•    Experience in the selection and sizing of electrical/electronic components (switches, contactors, relays, protections, transformers, wires, etc.).
•    Experience with electronic testing instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, automated test benches).

NICE TO HAVE
•    Basic knowledge of photovoltaic inverter topologies.
•    General knowledge in designing test systems for industrial environments (energy, automotive, aerospace, etc.), including debugging and fault analysis techniques.
•    Knowledge of programming languages for test automation (C#, C++).
•    Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, RS485, Ethernet/IP).

BEHAVIORAL SKILLS
