The FIMER solar product line supports a wide range of grid connected PV applications from hundreds of kilowatts up to multi megawatts. Based on the FIMER MPS (Modular Power System) technology, this line has been designed with a particular architecture in which the power modules guarantee a greater efficiency than traditional central inverters. The power modules of our inverters switch on gradually, producing energy at low power values (around 700W) providing a rapid return on investment
Thanks to such technology, FIMER inverters allow the improvement of the three main features of a PV inverter:
Improved performance
This FIMER inverter is modular and this particular feature is due to the inverter’s conversion stage which is formed by more IGBT power modules working in parallel in output on the AC power distribution grid. Taking a FIMER inverter that has to be connected to 900 kWp PV generator as a reference, this machine would be made up of ten 83,5 kVA modules.
Such modularity is also extended to magnetic devices (inductors), capacitors energy conversion and all cards and electronic devices for control and regulation (of which one piece is always embedded in each power module).
Longer service life
A FIMER inverter provides a longer and more reliable service life! Electronic components need to work at low temperatures to last longer. FIMER inverter power modules turn on and off in a sequential manner in order to always keep them cool (or they operate at low temperatures and are constantly monitored).
Moreover, in this manner the use of cooling fans is also optimized: they absorb and dissipate a reduced amount of energy by progressively turning less, hence ensuring a higher performance and profitability to the PV inverter.
Elimination of machine downtime
The particular power architecture of FIMER inverters ensure that they never stop operating completely because only the failing module inside the converter will stop, while the machine will keep functioning thanks to its multiple modules and multiple magnetic components.
